Citrus aurantium is the dried young fruit of the Rutaceae family plants, bitter orange (Citrus aurantium L.). It is mainly produced in the Yangtze River Basin and southern regions of China. Core production areas include Jiangxi, Hunan, Sichuan, Zhejiang, and Fujian provinces in China. The young fruits are harvested from May to June and then dried under the sun or by low-temperature drying to extract the active ingredients. The main component is Neohesperidin Dihydrochalcone (NHDC), with a purity of ≥98% (HPLC detection).

Citrus Aurantium Extract, spec.:98% NHDC is a high-intensity sweetener: its sweetness is 1500-2000 times that of sucrose, with low calories (about 0.2 kcal/g), making it suitable for food for diabetic and obese patients. In addition, it has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, metabolic improvement, and liver protection effects. It can be applied in functional foods, health care products, and cosmetics.
